Cledara Limited (“Cledara”), a groundbreaking purchase and analytics platform for the subscription economy, announces that Zi Makki joins to lead the company’s engineering team. Zi previously was the Co-Founder and CTO of Shopa, a company that raised one of the largest Series A investments for a UK startup when it raised in 2015. Zi joins a management team that has collectively previously raised more than $70 million in venture capital from leading investors in the UK, Israel and Silicon Valley.

Zi brings massive experience leading and growing technology teams and architecting systems for scale. He will be based in Barcelona where the company intends to establish a European hub in the near future to ensure the company can access world leading talent following Brexit.

This follows a very successful period for Cledara, having raised a pre-seed round from leading investors Anthemis and Chris Adelsbach, completed the Techstars London program in October 2019 and debuted Europe’s first card rewards program for startups at Paris Fintech Forum in January 2020.
