Zluri alternatives for finance: renewal price rises and Cledara Agent doing the admin

In short

If you bought Zluri to manage software spend and renewals, the best Zluri alternative is Cledara, software subscription management for finance teams. Every subscription gets a named owner, a renewal date and an alert to that owner and finance before it renews, every invoice is matched and synced to Xero, QuickBooks or NetSuite, and Cledara Agent handles joiners, leavers and unused seats inside each tool. Zluri now markets itself as an identity security platform, and Infotech completed its acquisition on 14 October 2026. Acquisitions often change roadmaps, pricing and support, so get continuity terms in writing. Identity-first alternatives include Lumos, Torii, CloudEagle and BetterCloud.

Zluri alternatives: the short answer

If you bought Zluri to manage software spend and renewals, the best of the Zluri alternatives is Cledara: every subscription has a named owner, a renewal date and an alert to that owner and finance before it renews, every invoice is matched to its payment and synced to your accounting system, and Cledara Agent does the admin inside each tool. Cledara is software subscription management for finance teams.

Zluri has changed twice this year. In March 2026 it began presenting itself as an identity security platform, and on 14 October 2026 Infotech completed its acquisition of the company. Below: what that means for customers, seven other Zluri alternatives and their strengths, and how to move to Cledara in days.

Key takeaways

  • Infotech, the IT research and advisory firm formerly called Info-Tech Research Group, completed its acquisition of Zluri on 14 October 2026. Zluri says it will keep serving customers.
  • Zluri now leads with identity security. Finance teams who bought it for spend and renewals may want a tool built for finance.
  • Acquisitions often change roadmaps, pricing and support priorities, so get continuity terms in writing before your next Zluri renewal.
  • Cledara is the Zluri replacement for finance: owners, renewals, invoices and accounting codes for every subscription, with Cledara Agent doing joiners, leavers and unused seats inside each tool.
  • For identity-first needs, Lumos, Torii, CloudEagle and BetterCloud are closer to Zluri's current focus.
  • Productiv shut down on 6 August 2026, so it is no longer an option.

Why teams are looking for a Zluri replacement

Two changes in 2026 make this a good time to review Zluri alternatives: a new focus on identity security, and a new owner.

Zluri now leads with identity security

In a March 2026 announcement, Zluri described itself as "an Identity Security Platform that helps enterprises discover, govern, and secure identities". Its homepage now leads with identity security for autonomous enterprises, and it tells enterprise security and IT teams it will help them govern identities, automate access reviews and enforce least privilege.

Zluri still offers SaaS management, with discovery, licence reclamation and renewal alerts. But the product's centre of gravity has moved towards security and IT, and finance teams who bought it to manage spend and renewals may now want a tool built for finance.

Infotech completed its acquisition on 14 October 2026

Infotech, formerly Info-Tech Research Group, completed its acquisition of Zluri on 14 October 2026 and launched CIO Analytics, a platform for IT leaders. Zluri powers two of its modules: Application Discovery, and Identity Governance and Administration. According to Inc42, Zluri runs as a standalone division of Infotech based in Bengaluru, the terms were not disclosed, and Zluri will continue serving existing customers.

What it means for Zluri customers

Infotech says Zluri will continue serving its customers. Even so, acquisitions often change roadmaps, pricing and support priorities, as the buyer fits the product into its own plans. Before your next Zluri renewal, it is sensible to review your options and get these points in writing:

  1. Whether Zluri stays available as its own product, outside CIO Analytics.
  2. Your price and renewal terms for the next contract.
  3. Your support contacts and service levels.
  4. The SaaS management features you rely on, such as renewal alerts and spend reports, for the full term.
  5. How to export your app inventory, contracts, owners and usage history, and in what format.

Identity governance or finance control: pick the job first

Before you compare Zluri alternatives, write down the last three software problems that reached your desk. They usually fall on one side of a line.

  • Access problems: a leaver who kept admin rights, an access review for an audit, segregation of duties. These point to identity-first tools such as Lumos, Torii, CloudEagle or BetterCloud.
  • Money problems: a renewal nobody saw coming, an invoice missing at month end, seats paid for but unused, a tool with no owner. These point to Cledara.

Money problems add up. Across Cledara's customers, the median UK company spent £73,846 a year on software between October 2025 and September 2026. Cledara's renewal benchmarks show vendors raise renewal prices 8 to 12% a year on average. If every tool rose by that average, a UK company at the median would pay about £5,900 to £8,900 more the following year, before any new tools.

Zluri alternatives compared

Here are eight Zluri alternatives and who each is built for. Most of them, like Zluri, are run by IT or security; Cledara is run by finance, with IT on board.

1. Cledara: the Zluri alternative for finance teams

Cledara manages every software subscription and does the admin around it: invoices, renewals, approvals, new starters and leavers. You approve, Cledara does the rest. It suits companies of roughly 50 to 1,000 people where finance answers for software spend.

Renewals with a named owner

Cledara keeps one list of every tool, built from every payment made with Cledara plus the tools you add, with the owner, users, cost, renewal date and card for each. Alerts go to the subscription owner and finance before each renewal, so nothing renews by surprise. Read more in our guide to renewal tracking software.

The Spend Optimisation module benchmarks what you pay against similar companies, flags duplicate tools, unused seats and price increases, and its Negotiation and Renewal Copilot drafts the renewal negotiation for you. Free spend benchmarks by company and category are also published at data.cledara.com.

Approvals and a card per subscription

Requests for new tools route to the manager, finance or IT based on rules you set, such as an annual cost threshold. Each approved tool gets its own virtual card with its own limit, so a subscription keeps running when its owner leaves, and cancelling is one click: freeze the card and the vendor cannot charge it again.

Invoices matched and coded

Cledara captures invoices from Gmail or Microsoft 365 (Premium and Pro), a forwarding inbox, or Cledara Agent for invoices that are never emailed. Each payment syncs with its invoice to Xero, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite or Tripletex, already coded to its expense account, department and cost centre. See how in our guide to reconciling card payments with accounting software.

Cledara Agent for joiners, leavers and unused seats

Cledara Agent signs in to the SaaS and AI tools you connect and does the admin inside them, in 8,000+ tools, integration or not. It collects invoices from billing pages, sets up joiners before day one, takes back paid seats nobody uses and removes leavers from every tool they had. Your HR system, such as BambooHR, HiBob, Personio or Workday, tells Cledara when someone joins or leaves; you approve once and the agent does the rest.

Cledara Agent is the only SaaS management agent verified by Cloudflare. Sign-in details are stored encrypted in a separate vault per company, AI never sees passwords, and it never adds a paid seat without approval.

Usage and AI spend

Cledara Engage, a browser extension, shows which tools people actually use, including ones nobody approved, collecting only the username and a timestamp. For AI, Cledara connects to providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Cursor, tracks usage every day against your budget, and warns finance and the owner before spend runs over.

Best for: finance-led teams that want software spend, renewals and invoices handled in one place. Cledara customers save 23% on software spend on average and get 30+ hours a month back. Cledara is rated 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from 251 reviews and is a G2 Leader for SaaS Management Platforms in Fall 2026. See plans and pricing.

Other Zluri alternatives

If your priority is identity and access rather than spend, these Zluri alternatives sit closer to Zluri's current focus. Each is strong at something specific.

2. Torii

Torii is a SaaS and AI management platform for IT, with continuous discovery, joiner, mover and leaver workflows, access reviews, licence reclamation based on live usage and AI spend tracking by user and model. Torii says Gartner named it a Leader in the July 2026 Magic Quadrant for SaaS Management Platforms. Freshworks signed a definitive agreement to acquire Torii on 12 October 2026; see our Torii alternatives guide.

3. Zylo

Zylo describes itself as an enterprise SaaS spend management platform for IT, procurement and FinOps leaders. It finds SaaS and AI spend, reclaims unused licences, ranks renewals by savings potential and offers a SaaS Negotiator service. Best for large enterprises with procurement teams.

4. Lumos

Lumos calls itself an autonomous identity platform, with access requests that expire on their own, automated access reviews and AI agents that govern access. It also offers spend optimisation, such as reclaiming unused licences. Best for security teams that want a like-for-like identity governance replacement.

5. BetterCloud

BetterCloud is an AI governance and SaaS management platform for IT teams, known for onboarding, role change and offboarding workflows across connected apps. It also finds unused licences and overlapping subscriptions. CoreStack announced its acquisition of BetterCloud on 31 March 2026. Best for IT teams that automate a lot of user lifecycle work.

6. CloudEagle

CloudEagle brings SaaS, AI and identity governance together with procurement: licence harvesting, access reviews, onboarding and offboarding, price benchmarking, procurement workflows and 90-day renewal alerts. Best for IT and procurement teams that want governance and buying in one tool.

7. Vendr

Vendr, part of Vertice since Vertice acquired it in June 2026, is built around software pricing data. It offers free price checks on quotes, contract reviews and AI agents that negotiate with suppliers under human oversight, and says 5,000+ finance and procurement teams use it. Best for teams that mainly want to pay less at purchase and renewal.

8. 1Password SaaS Manager

1Password SaaS Manager links app discovery to sign-ins and credentials, so IT can find unmanaged apps and AI tools, revoke access and automate provisioning, deprovisioning and access reviews. Best for IT teams already using 1Password.

Note: Productiv is no longer an option. It told customers on 2 August 2026 that it would shut down on 6 August, and customer data was deleted once access ended. Our guide to replacing Productiv covers that move.

Zluri vs Cledara: where they differ

Zluri is strongest on identity: access requests, access reviews, segregation of duties and non-human identities such as service accounts and AI agents, plus a Universal Identity Connector that can carry out provisioning through an app's interface when no API is available. For IT audits, that goes deep.

Cledara is strongest on the money: who approved each tool, who owns it, what it costs, when it renews and where its invoice goes. For the full side-by-side, read Zluri vs Cledara.

How to move from Zluri to Cledara

Moving from Zluri to Cledara takes days, not months, and every plan includes set-up help. If you rely on Zluri's access reviews for audits, you can keep them running while finance moves to Cledara.

  1. Find your Zluri dates. Note the renewal date and notice period, and aim to decide 90 days before it. Companies that start negotiating 90 days out average 49% savings, against 19% when they start 30 to 90 days out.
  2. Export from Zluri. Ask for your app inventory, contracts, renewal dates, owners and usage history as CSV files.
  3. Connect your accounting system. Xero and QuickBooks Online work on every plan, NetSuite from Premium, and Tripletex too.
  4. Connect your HR system. Cledara works with 36 HR systems, so joiners and leavers flow in automatically.
  5. Load your tools. Cledara builds the list from payments made with Cledara; add the rest from your Zluri export, with an owner and renewal date for each.
  6. Code once. Map each tool to its expense account, department and cost centre, so every future payment is coded the same way.
  7. Move each subscription to its own card as it next bills. Cledara data shows 90% of software transactions are monthly subscriptions, so most tools move within a month.
  8. Switch on Cledara Agent. Turn on Invoice Collection and User Management and set standing approvals for routine work. The agent starts working within minutes.

Tip: export your usage history before anything else. Inventory, spend and owners can be rebuilt from payments and HR data; past usage cannot.

What to check in any Zluri alternative

  • ✓ It is built for the team that will run it every day: finance, IT or security.
  • ✓ Every subscription has a named owner and a renewal alert that reaches finance.
  • ✓ Invoices are matched to payments and synced with the right codes.
  • ✓ Joiners and leavers are handled inside tools that have no integration.
  • ✓ AI usage is tracked against a budget, with a warning before it runs over.
  • ✓ Prices are published and your data can be exported at any time.

Key takeaway: if access is the problem, choose an identity-first tool; if money is the problem, Cledara is the Zluri replacement built for finance.

The practical next step

Take your Zluri export and last quarter's software payments to a Cledara demo. You will see every tool in one list with owners and renewal dates, which invoices would be matched and coded, and the joiner, leaver and seat admin Cledara Agent would take on.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Zluri alternative?

For finance teams that bought Zluri to manage spend and renewals, the best Zluri alternative is Cledara, software subscription management for finance teams. It gives every subscription a named owner and renewal alert, syncs every invoice to Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or Tripletex with the right codes, and uses Cledara Agent to remove leavers and take back unused seats. For identity governance, Lumos, Torii, CloudEagle and BetterCloud are closer to Zluri.

Who acquired Zluri?

Infotech, the IT research and advisory firm formerly called Info-Tech Research Group, completed its acquisition of Zluri on 14 October 2026. Terms were not disclosed. Zluri powers the Application Discovery and Identity Governance and Administration modules of Infotech's CIO Analytics platform, runs as a standalone division based in Bengaluru, and says it will continue serving existing customers.

Is Zluri still a SaaS management platform?

Zluri still offers SaaS management, including discovery, licence reclamation and renewal alerts, but since March 2026 it has marketed itself as an identity security platform for enterprise security and IT teams. Finance teams who mainly need owners, renewals, invoices and accounting sync for every subscription may prefer a tool built for finance, such as Cledara.

How do I move from Zluri to Cledara?

Export your app inventory, contracts, owners and usage history from Zluri, then connect your accounting and HR systems to Cledara. Add your tools with an owner and renewal date, map each one to its account codes once, and move each subscription to its own virtual card as it next bills. Switch on Cledara Agent for invoices and user admin. Set-up takes days, not months.

What is the difference between identity governance and SaaS management?

Identity governance controls who can access which systems: access requests, access reviews, segregation of duties and the accounts of people, services and AI agents. SaaS management covers the software itself: which tools you pay for, who owns them, what they cost, when they renew and whether people use them. Security teams usually lead identity governance; finance and IT share SaaS management.

Can Cledara and Zluri be used together?

Yes. Some companies keep Zluri for identity governance and access reviews, run by IT and security, and use Cledara for approvals, payments, renewals and invoices, run by finance. Cledara also connects to 36 HR systems and uses Cledara Agent to set up joiners and remove leavers inside each tool, so finance-led teams can cover that work without a second platform.
